The fifth annual McFadden’s Movement Celebrity Charity Classic presented by Skyjack set a new all-time fundraising record for the fifth consecutive year — raising $36,485.03 in support of mental health resources.
Held on Friday, July 18 at Victoria Park East Golf Club, the tournament exceeded previous totals: $18,194 in 2021, $20,084 in 2022, $27,225.64 in 2023, and $30,191.53 in 2024. In total, the MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic has raised $132,180.20 in five years. This consistent momentum is a direct result of the unwavering support from sponsors, dedicated golfers, and volunteers who return year after year.
All proceeds from the tournament support mental health initiatives, including the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo-Wellington branch, who was on hand for the tournament once again this year.
Continuing its popular celebrity-style format, the tournament featured an impressive roster of current and former Guelph Storm alumni and professional-level players, including: Isaac Ratcliffe, Nate Schnarr, Jason Dickinson, Nico Daws, Chris Hajt, Luca Caputi, Cam Hillis, Matt Poitras, Braeden Bowman, Jake Karabela, Michael Buchinger, Jett Luchanko, Ryan McGuire, Ryan Horvat, Justin Auger, Wil McFadden, Charlie Paquette, Maurizio Colella, Ryan Foss, TJ Fergus, and more.
“We are so proud of this year’s tournament and the funds raised,” said Garrett McFadden, founder of McFadden’s Movement. “Thank you to our sponsors, golfers, and volunteers who make all of this possible — we couldn’t do it without you. There are tremendous resources available to those who need help with their mental health. By working together, we are making it possible for more people to have access to what they need. We can’t wait for next year and to celebrate 10 years of McFadden’s Movement!”
