The third annual McFadden’s Movement Celebrity Charity Classic presented by Skyjack hit a record-high, raising $27,225.64 for mental health resources.

Hosted on Friday, July 21 at Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club, the golf tournament surpassed the event’s inaugural total raised of $18,194 in 2021 and the $20,084 raised in 2022. The continued momentum of the MM27 Celebrity Classic is with full credit to the outpouring of support from committed sponsors annually, and dedicated golfers and volunteers.

All proceeds from the MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic are in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo-Wellington branch and WES for Youth Online.

The tournament continued with the celebrity style format, featuring a variety of former Guelph Storm teammates across generations and other professional-level players, including: Jason Dickinson, Isaac Ratcliffe, Nate Schnarr, Cam Hillis, Liam Hawel, Declan Chisholm, Anthony Popovich, Luke Moncada, Barret Kirwin, Cooper Walker, Luca Profaca, Braeden Bowman, Chandler Romeo, Jake Karabela, Michael Buchinger, Ryan McGuire, Jet Greaves, Luca Caputi, Ben Jones, Mark Woolley, Zach Poirier, Maurizio Colella, Ryan Foss, TJ Fergus, and more. The event also welcomed Seattle Kraken assistant coach Paul McFarland and the Storm coaching staff.

The growing success of the third annual MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic was made possible by the generosity of the ongoing and significant contributions of a number of sponsors in which the Movement extends the most gratitude:

“A big thank-you goes out to everyone who took part in the third annual MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic,” Garrett McFadden, the founder of McFadden’s Movement, shared. “Without golfers coming out to support our cause, to volunteers dedicating their time, and of course our sponsors for believing in our goal, none of this would be possible – everyone is the reason for the ultimate success and we can’t thank you enough for that.”

The winning foursome – a team of Nate Schnarr, Ben Schnarr, Ben Jones, and Kyle Platzar – won engraved watches courtesy of Exodus Watch Co with a score of minus-20.

Blair Bowman and Jeff Dutrizac’s team walked away with second place McFadden’s Movement prize packs with a score of minus-14.

Luke Moncada and Anthony Popovoch’s team finished in third, winning a prize pack donated by Ainsdale Golf Club.
