While raising awareness with the hope of changing, helping, and developing the conversation around mental health, McFadden’s Movement also raises funds for important mental health resources such as the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), and WES for Youth Online.
Thanks to the ongoing support of so many, Garrett McFadden and McFadden’s Movement have donated $57,000 in just four years to the CMHA Waterloo-Wellington branch and WES for Youth Online, with the most recent being $10,000 despite challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic after back-to-back donations of $20,000 in 2018 and 2019.
“We were very fortunate to receive funds through McFadden’s Movement to go towards our suicide prevention programs and training,” Megan Brady, the Communications Specialist for CMHA Waterloo-Wellington said following the very first McFadden’s Movement donation. “Garrett’s fundraising efforts and drive to make McFadden’s Movement a success truly make him a good Samaritan.”
