On Friday, November 24th, McFadden’s Movement proudly hosted Logan Peters as the MM27 Ambassador of the Game.
Nominated by his mom, Cortnie Peters, the 10-year-old from Shelburne, Ontario recently lost his brother, Addison, to suicide just over a month ago on October 23rd. Together, the Peters family is trying to work through this tragedy by “turning grief into goodness.”
Described as very active and goal oriented, Logan plays Atom rep hockey for the Shelburne Wolves and on the day of his brother’s funeral, had the choice if he still wanted to attend his game later that night. With no hesitation, Logan played in the game using the sport as his outlet.
“That night his team showed up with all their sticks taped lime green in a show of support and solidarity for Logan, and to bring awareness to mental health – we were so thankful for his team and the beautiful gesture,” Cortnie explained. “That night, Logan scored a goal and pointed to the sky for his big brother. Tears were throughout the parents in the stands. We were so proud of him.”

Looking ahead to the spring of 2018, Logan and his family will be hosting a fun run to raise funds for mental health awareness.
