On Thursday, February 14th, Winmar Guelph presented McFadden’s Movement with a cheque totalling $300.35 following the second annual ‘Winmar Guelph Warms-Up for #BellLetsTalk’ social media campaign held on January 27th.
For the second consecutive year, the campaign saw Winmar Guelph donate five cents for every tweet and retweet that included #MM27, @McFaddensMvmnt, and @WinmarGuelph in order to start the conversation ahead of the always anticipated #BellLetsTalk day a few days after on January 30th.
Throughout the day on January 27th, the Movement saw over 6,000 tweets and retweets – incredibly surpassing the 4,000 impressions reached from the inaugural social media event in 2018. The effort from various supporters helped the Movement continue its fundraising efforts for mental health resources, succeeding in the goal of developing the Warm-Up for #BellLetsTalk campaign with Winmar Guelph.
McFadden’s Movement would like to extend a huge thank-you to Winmar Guelph for joining the Movement with this incredible campaign, and for the ongoing support both through monetary donations, and overall dedication to continuing to rid the stigma surrounding mental illness.
