MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic presented by Skyjack returns July 21, 2023, registration now open

The third annual McFadden’s Movement Celebrity Charity Classic is back Friday, July 21, 2023, welcoming Skyjack as the returning title sponsor for the third consecutive year.

Following an incredibly successful inaugural event in July 2021, raising over $18,000 for mental health resources, the Movement – with the ongoing support of Skyjack – carried the momentum into 2022, raising over $20,000 in the event’s second year.

The tournament will feature a new location in 2023, shifting to Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club as the Movement looks ahead to continuing to grow the event in all facets.

The celebrity-style set-up will remain, allowing golfers to register as a threesome, with the opportunity to play with a celebrity. Golfers will also have the option to register a foursome, without the celebrity add-on. Celebrities will include past and present Guelph Storm players, along with other special guests. Be sure to check out the Movement’s celebrity page and social channels as names will continue to be announced leading up to the tournament.

Registration for the tournament is now open and will be available until June 1, or when the tournament is sold out, whichever comes first.

“McFadden’s Movement is extremely happy to have Ken and Skyjack back as this year’s presenting sponsor for the third year running. Skyjack has been a huge support of MM27 from the very beginning, and we truly wouldn’t be in the position we are today if it weren’t for their support over the years,” Garrett McFadden, Founder of McFadden’s Movement, shared. “We are excited to bring the MM27 Celebrity Classic to a new course this year with Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club. We can’t wait to see everyone back in support of mental health resources.”

The continued momentum of the MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic has only emphasized the significant impact of Skyjack’s unwavering support, dating back to the very beginning of the Movement as a whole in 2016.

“Skyjack is pleased to once again team up with McFadden’s Movement in raising money for mental health resources,” Ken McDougall, President of Skyjack, said. “It is an honour to be associated with MM27 and the team. Since meeting Garrett back in 2016 and watching his commitment and dedication to this great cause is inspiring for many of us including myself.”

All funds raised from the MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic are in support of mental health resources. To date, MM27 has raised over $100,000 for mental health resources such as WES For Youth Online and the Canadian Mental Health Association, Waterloo-Wellington branch.
