MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic presented by Skyjack returns July 19, 2024, registration now open

The fourth annual McFadden’s Movement Celebrity Charity Classic is back Friday, July 19, 2024, welcoming Skyjack as the returning presenting sponsor for the fourth consecutive year.

Following an incredibly successful inaugural event in July 2021, raising over $18,000 for mental health resources, the Movement – with the ongoing support of Skyjack – carried the momentum into 2022, raising over $20,000 in the event’s second year. In 2023, the tournament hit a record high, raising over $27,000

The MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic will move to a new location in 2024, shifting to Victoria Park East Golf Club as the Movement strives to continue to grow the event across all facets.

The celebrity-style set-up will remain, allowing golfers to register as a threesome, with the opportunity to play with a celebrity. Golfers will also have the option to register a foursome, without the celebrity add-on. Celebrities will include past and present Guelph Storm players, along with other special guests. Be sure to check out the Movement’s celebrity page and social channels as names will continue to be announced leading up to the tournament.

Registration for the tournament is now open and will be available until June 1, or when the tournament is sold out, whichever comes first.

“McFadden’s Movement is extremely excited for the fourth annual MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic with a new home at Victoria Park East!” Garrett McFadden, Founder of McFadden’s Movement, said. “None of this would be possible without the ongoing support of Skyjack – their generosity allows us to plan and host this event every year, all in support of a great cause. Every year we have seen this tournament grow and we’re looking forward for the turnout again this July!”

With every milestone, the MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic only continues to gain momentum – all emphasizes the remarkable impact of Skyjack’s support, dating back to the very beginning of the Movement as a whole in 2016.

“Skyjack is proud to again support McFadden’s Movement as they raise money for mental health resources,” said Malcolm Early, Skyjack’s Vice President of Marketing. “We are always keen to give back to our community and McFadden’s Movement does so in a meaningful way with lasting impact.”

All proceeds raised from the MM27 Celebrity Charity Classic are in support of mental health resources. To date, MM27 has raised over $125,000 for mental health resources such as WES For Youth Online and the Canadian Mental Health Association, Waterloo-Wellington branch
